MD Jay Buckey Helps Us Be Better at Conflict Resolution, Stress Management

Jay Buckey, MD is a former astronaut and current professor at Dartmouth Medical School

Buckey is interested in countermeasures to help people be better at conflict resolution, stress management, and improving mood. These are all important for being successful during isolation and confinement. He will highlight his 16-day space flight aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia, the behavioral health work he has done, and how it translates back on Earth.

Jay will be speaking at an event for the University of Colorado Medical Center later this week: Partnerships for Veteran and Military Health Conference: New Horizons in Collaborating for Care

The symposium is a premier networking event in the western region for Veterans, Military Servicemembers, their caregivers and families, to share knowledge and experiences with healthcare providers, educators, researchers, and community service organizations. The conference is open to the public.
