Tag.

Justin Simmons is "it" again.

For the second straight year, the Denver Broncos will put the franchise tag on their standout safety.

KOA NFL Insider Benjamin Allbright broke the news that the designation will be coming today (Friday, March 5).

Simmons will earn a little over $13.7 million. Allbright reports that the Broncos and Simmons hope to work out a long-term deal by the July 15th deadline..

Simmons has spent his entire five-year career with the Broncos after the team drafted him in the third round out of Boston College in 2016.

In 2020, Simmons again played in every defensive snap and recorded 96 tackles and a career-high five interceptions.

Allbright spoke with KOA's Mike Rice.
