It was a second half to forget for the Denver Broncos.

After trailing 21-13 at halftime, the Broncos could only muster a paltry nine yards of offense in the third quarter while the Buffalo Bills outscored them 17-0 en route to a 48-19 blowout win at Empower Field at Mile High.

Broncos quarterback Drew Lock found Noah Fant on a six-yard touchdown pass with five seconds left in the second quarter.

But the Bills turned the game into a rout on the first two series of the third quarter.

First, Bills quarterback Josh Allen capped a seven play, 43 yard drive with a one-yard touchdown run to make it 28-13 Bills at the 10:58 mark.

Then on the first play of the Broncos ensuing series, Tre'Davious White sacked Lock and forced a fumble that Jerry Hughes scooped up and made his way to the end zone on a 21-yard return.

That score made it 35-13 Bills and they were on their way to their eleventh win of the season and their first AFC East championship since 1995.

Lock finished 20-of-32 for 132 yards and the touchdown while Allen was 28-of-40 for 359 yards and two touchdown passes and a pair of rushing scores.

The Broncos are now 5-9 while the Bills stand at 11-3.
