Colorado Rockies fans know the name.

The Blake Street Bombers.

Five sluggers who helped establish the identity of a brand new franchise.

Andres Galarraga, Dante Bichette, Vinny Castilla, Ellis Burks, Larry Walker.

They are forever part of the history of the Rockies.

Now for the first time, author Manny Randhawa has captured their history and legacy has been captured in his comprehensive new book, The Blake Street Bombers. It promises to be a terrific read.

Manny is Denver-based reporter and Statcast researcher for MLB.com and his new book is now available on Amazon.

In the book, he tells the stories of the five beloved sluggers who made left their indelible mark on the Rockies and Major League Baseball.

Manny has also spearheaded the effort to get Walker elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. 2020 marks Walker's final year on the writer's ballot. The same day Manny's book came out, November 18, Hall of Fame ballots went out to voting members of the Baseball Writers Association of America.

The #WalkerHOF hashtag has gained momentum and Manny has put in tireless hours to lead the drive to get Walker enshrined in Cooperstown. Much of the information Manny has compiled on Walker's Hall of Fame qualifications can be found on his Twitter account, @MannyOnMLB.

In the latest podcast, Manny and I talk about his book, the Bombers themselves, Larry Walker's Hall of Fame credentials and Manny's own inspiring faith journey.

Thanks for checking it out. Hope you enjoy the conversation.
