Rantanen To Return As Avs Open Playoffs Against Flames

It's time.

Playoff time.

And the Colorado Avalanche get started with a first round series against the top seed in the Western Conference, the Calgary Flames in Calgary on Thursday night.

The Avs had a late push to claim the second Wild Card in the West. The Flames have been the class of the conference.

Colorado forward Mikko Rantanen will return to the lineup after missing eight games with an injury to his midsection. He was hurt against Dallas on March 21.

Adrian Dater of BSN Denver was on Colorado's Morning News on Thursday to preview the match-up with Marty Lenz, April Zesbaugh and Mike Rice.
