Everything is on the line now.

The 6th-ranked Denver Pioneers open the NCAA ice hockey tournament as the 2nd seed in the West Regional. The Pioneers will take on Ohio St. on Friday, March 29 at 2 p.m. MDT at Scheels Arena in Fargo, North Dakota.

The Pioneers are seeking their ninth national championship and have advanced to the NCAA tournament for the 12th consecutive year.

They enter Friday's game with a 22-11-5 record, their 18th straight season with at least 20 wins.

#8 Ohio St. is 20-10-5 and lost to Penn. St. in the Big 10 semifinals. The Buckeyes beat the Pioneers 5-1 in the Midwest Regional final a year ago.

Friday's game will be televised on ESPU.

DU head coach David Carle joined us on Colorado's Morning News on Tuesday, March 26 on KOA NewsRadio 850 AM and 94.1 FM.
