REPORT: Avs Acquire C Derick Brassard From Florida

With the NHL trade deadline at 1 p.m. MST on Monday, February 25, the Colorado Avalanche has reportedly acquired center Derick Brassard from the Florida Panthers, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet in Canada.

The Avs have been in the market for additional scoring.

Brassard has played in a total of 50 games this season, 40 with the PittsburghPenguins and 10 more with the Panthers. He has a total of 10 goals and nine assists while averaging 15:00 minutes of ice time per game.

Colorado hosts Florida on Monday night at 7 p.m. MST.
