For the second straight game, the San Francisco Giants kept the Colorado Rockies bats quiet.

Very quiet.

And for the second consecutive game, the Giants shut out the Rockies, 3-0 on Saturday night at AT&T Park.

San Francisco got to Rockies starter German Marquez for two runs in the second inning and another in the third.

That was more than enough for the Giants.

Starter Madison Bumgarner and three relievers combined to allow only seven hits and walk one while striking out seven batters.

The Rockies got two men on in both the fourth and fifth innings but could not score.

The loss pushed the Rockies into second place in the N.L. West, a half-game behind the Dodgers, who routed the Cardinals 17-4.
