Offense Comes Alive In Rockies 7-3 Win Over Padres

In the first three games of the series against the San Diego Padres, offense was something of a struggle for the Colorado Rockies.

On Sunday, the bats came around and the Rockies picked up a    win and a split of the series.

After David Dahl's sacrifice fly tied the game 2-2 in the top of the fourth, the Padres answered and took a 3-2 lead on A.J. Ellis' RBI single in the bottom half of the inning.

Trevor Story lined an RBI double down the right-field line to bring in D.J. LeMahieu and tie the game at three.

Then in the seventh, the Rockies put three runs on the scoreboard. Chris Iannetta drilled a two-run double ad Charlie Blackmon delievered an RBI single to make it 6-3 Rockies.

Kyle Freeland again battled through six innings and gave up three runs on seven hits. He picked up the win to get to 13-7.

The Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks, 3-2, on Matt Kemp's two-run double with one out in the bottom of the ninth.
