Looking to bolster their secondary, the Denver Broncos have signed CB/Returner Adam "Pacman" Jones.

Jones, 34, spent the last eight seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals after being out of the NFL in 2009.

Last year, he played in nine games and had 23 tackles and one interception. He also averaged 21.8 yards on six punt returns. The Bengals did not pick up the option on his contract this offseason.

Jones was a Pro Bowl selection in 2015 and First Team All-Pro in 2014.

He has also been beset by legal troubles through his career, having been suspended three times.

Jones was out all of the 2007 season due to a suspension, then missed six games in 2008. He was suspended for one game last season.

In 2005, the Tennessee Titans selected Jones out of West Virginia with the sixth overall pick in the draft.

BRONCOS SIGN CB ADAM JONES; WAIVE ILB BO BOWER

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Sunday signed cornerback Adam Jones to a one-year contract and waived inside linebacker Bo Bower, it was announced.

Jones (5-10, 185 pounds) is a 12th-year player who appeared in 139 regular season games (102 starts) and five postseason contests (4 starts) with Tennessee (2005-07), Dallas (2008) and Cincinnati (2010-17). He started all nine games played for Cincinnati in 2017—his eighth season with the franchise—before being placed on injured reserve with a groin injury.

Selected by Tennessee in the first round (sixth overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft from West Virginia University, Jones was an Associated Press First-Team All-Pro selection at kick returner in 2014 and a Pro Bowl choice at cornerback in 2015.

His career regular-season totals include 494 tackles (409 solo), three sacks (10 yds.), 16 interceptions (239 yds., 2 TDs), 94 passes defensed, seven forced fumbles and 12 fumble recoveries. He also returned 182 punts for 1,922 yards (10.6 avg.) with five touchdowns in addition to returning 121 kickoffs for 3,147 yards (26.0 avg.).

A two-time Big-East selection at West Virginia, Jones was born on Sept. 30, 1983, in College Park, Ga.
