Colorado State head football coach Mike Bobo said it all after practice on Wednesday.
"I'm back as the head coach."
Indeed, he is.
Wednesday, Coach Bobo returned to practice for the first time since being hospitalized on August 11 with what has been diagnosed as peripheral neuropathy.
While he is still undergoing treatment, Coach Bobo will lead the Rams into Saturday's opener against Hawaii.
He says he will coach from the press box due to limited mobility.
Coach Bobo says he feels good about the treatment program he is on.
And he feels good about where the team stands heading into the first game.
"I was able to stay in close contact over ten days," Bobo said. "Every night a computer was brought to me. I was able to watch practice and was in constant contact with the staff about practice and about game plan adjustments. I feel good where we're at. I'm excited to be back,"
Colorado State and Hawaii will kick off at 5:30 p.m. MDT on Saturday at Canvas Stadium on the CSU campus.
