The Colorado Rockies are starting to roll.

Friday's 7-1 win over the Seatlle Mariners gave the Rockies their seventh win in their last eight games and took their record to 45-43.

Not much more than a week ago, the Rockies trailed the Arizona Diamondbacks by eight games in the National League West.

Now, they're only three-and-a-half games out.

Charlie Blackmon had a big game on Friday, going 3-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Catcher Tony Wolters ripped a pair of triples and finished with three RBIs and he also scored twice.

That was more than enough support for right-hander German Marquez, who went six innings and allowed one run on five hits with no walks and five strikeouts.
