It is officially tournament time.

The #7 Denver Pioneers men's lacrosse team opens the NCAA Tournament Sunday at Notre Dame.

The two teams are familiar with each other, to say the least.

The Pioneers and Irish have met in the postseason in four of the last five years. DU eliminated Notre Dame in the semifinals in 2015, when the Pioneers went on to win the national championship.

The Pioneers and Irish will face off at 12:15 MDT on Sunday.

The DU women's team opens the NCAA Tournament on Friday, May 11 against High Point in College Park, Maryland.
