DOES BERNIE SANDERS FOMENT VIOLENCE? I saw a tweet today that had this picture:
If you don't recognize the faces, let me clear that up. The first guy bum rushed the stage at a Trump event, the chick is the girl who leaked classified info from her NSA contractor gig, the third is the guy who stabbed to men in Portland to death after they tried to stop him from harassing two Muslim women, the fourth shot at Republicans yesterday and the last is the college professor facing charges for hitting a Trump supporter in the head with a bike lock. Coincidence that they all followed the Pied Piper of Socialism or not? You decide, I just thought it was an interesting graphic. And though Bernie has condemned violence in the latest case, I didn't see him condemning any of the others, did you?

SARAH PALIN SHOULD SUE THE NEW YORK TIMES FOR LIBEL Over the garbage editorial they wrote yesterday. From the original:
Was this attack evidence of how vicious American politics has become? Probably. In 2011, Jared Lee Loughner opened fire in a supermarket parking lot, grievously wounding Representative Gabby Giffords and killing six people, including a 9-year-old girl. At the time, we and others were sharply critical of the heated political rhetoric on the right. Before the shooting, Sarah Palin’s political action committee circulated a map that showed the targeted electoral districts of Ms. Giffords and 19 other Democrats under stylized cross hairs.
Conservatives and right-wing media were quick on Wednesday to demand forceful condemnation of hate speech and crimes by anti-Trump liberals. They’re right. Liberals should of course be held to the same standard of decency that they ask of the right.
And after being absolutely EXCORIATED, and rightly so, for drawing a connection that has been utterly and totally debunked for YEARS that Jared Loughner was inspired by a year old graphic on a PAC website he never saw, they made this "correction":

See what they did there? They LEFT in the completely discredited, libelous information and just added the "but in that case no connection to the shooting was ever established." This actually makes this a 1,000 times worse. I'm not the only to have noticed what garbage this is.
BUT THE DENVER POST GOT IT RIGHT. AGAIN. Their editorial struck all the right notes. Read it here. I was curious as to how they covered the Gabby Gifford's shooting, so I had Dave look it up, and lo and behold, they covered it in the exact same way, without partisanship or hackery. Kudos to the Post for this one!
CAMILLE PAGLIA TELLS DEMOCRATS HOW TO WIN AGAIN. AND THEY WILL IGNORE HER, OF COURSE Read this interview with Paglia and I dare you to tell me where she's wrong. She is a Kennedy Democrat, a dinosaur by today's party standards, but she is an amazing thinker. She is 100% correct when she says this:

SCHOOLS ARE UNDERMINING SUCCESS AND IT NEEDS TO STOP As they do away with the Valedictorians, they are telling kids there is no reward for hard work. And this sucks.
THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS BRINGING IN RECORD TAX REVENUE. AND STILL RUNNING A DEFICIT Stories like this are why I will never believe the answer is taking more money away from us to give to them.
LET'S MAKE CULTURAL APPROPRIATION ILLEGAL WORLDWIDE AND WATCH THE CHAOS! Because as much as African women want to believe they invented braiding hair, it's been around the world far longer than one might think. But don't let that stop the UN from trying to pass an international law (whatever that means) that would prevent cultural appropriation. If they do, it will be super fun to watch culture warriors argue over who wore the swastika first!
