Weather Thursday just doesn't have the same ring, but...

CHRIS SPEARS FROM CBS 4 JOINS ME TODAY TO TALK WEATHER!  So get your weather questions ready, an make them as nerdy as possible.

WHAT IS THE POINT OF GOING TO A TOWN HALL AND ACTING LIKE THIS? I didn't get it when the Tea Party did it at Town Hall meetings and I don't understand it now.  I'll talk to our own Steffan Tubbs at 1:30 about what he saw at Congressman Mike Coffman's Town Hall meeting last night, but spoiler alert, it was hostile.

EASTER CANDY IS ON THE SHELVES, BUT DO YOU REALLY NEED PEEPS OREOS? Just in case you were thinking of trying them, this author did so you don't have to.

SAN DIEGO'S HIGHER WAGE MAY ALREADY BE KILLING JOBS At least in the restaurant industry.  An economist points out that if job growth kept pace with other industries in the area, there would be about 3,500 more restaurant jobs now than there are.  The other ramifications, like higher prices and cutting bussers, are already happening.  Read the whole mess here

DON'T MESS WITH A MAMA HORSE, EVEN IF YOU ARE AN ALLIGATOR Because mama horses are badasses.

CHIK-FIL-A IS NOW TOO SCARY FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS AT DUQUESNE Because SAFE SPACES.  It goes like this.  The school asked students what food options they want on campus and they said Chik-Fil-A.  But a gay student says that the school, a Catholic university, should only do business with people who fully support everything the gay student agrees with.  Todd Starnes has a snarky column on it here. I did a quick search for this kid AT THE CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY on how the Catholic Church feels about homosexuality:

Every human being is called to receive a gift of divine sonship, to become a child of God by grace. However, to receive this gift, we must reject sin, including homosexual behavior—that is, acts intended to arouse or stimulate a sexual response regarding a person of the same sex. The Catholic Church teaches that such acts are always violations of divine and natural law.

Homosexual desires, however, are not in themselves sinful. People are subject to a wide variety of sinful desires over which they have little direct control, but these do not become sinful until a person acts upon them, either by acting out the desire or by encouraging the desire and deliberately engaging in fantasies about acting it out. People tempted by homosexual desires, like people tempted by improper heterosexual desires, are not sinning until they act upon those desires in some manner.

But I'm sure he's not worried about that.  Or he wouldn't be at a CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY.

IF YOU KNOW SIGN LANGUAGE AND CAN HEAR, YOU'RE A CULTURAL APPROPRIATOR At least according to this completely insane column written taking a community college to task for having American Sign Language instructors who can *GASP* hear.  Do you ever feel like the entire world is pulling a joke on you?  This is how this article makes me feel.

WHY "I WAS JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS" IS AN ACTUAL THING When we look back on atrocities like the Holocaust, it is hard to imagine how so many people were so willing to commit such atrocities.  Now we know that when they said, "I was just following orders" they really, really believed it.  Now scientists are able to track down subtle changes in "intention" to determine whether or not someone is really culpable.  Very interesting studies indeed.

WE ARE ACTUALLY ENFORCING IMMIGRATION LAW NOW.  GO FIGURE.  This column in Investor's Business Daily this is a very good thing.  They even break down what actually enforcing the law looks like.  And oddly, it's not racist.  It's just lawful.  Read it here.

THE GAZETTE THROWS THE APPROPRIATE NAME CALLING BACK AT ENVIROS And this editorial about how certain politicians are SCIENCE DENIERS because of their anti-fracking stance is sheer perfection.

Worried about potential negative effects oil and gas mining have on air quality, the governor's environmental agency assessed more than 10,000 air quality samples taken near oil and gas operations.

The agency used the samples to examine 62 substances of concern for people living or working within 500 feet of fossil fuel production rigs.

The scientific assessment found concentrations of toxins, surrounding oil and gas wells, are lower than standard limits set for short- and long-term exposure. Cancer risks near oil and gas rigs are within the EPA's range of "acceptable risk."

With 10,000 samples to examine, the evidence is overwhelming. We'd call it a consensus of scientific proof that oil and gas rigs don't harm our air.

And yet, there are multiple legislators who still want to ban or pause fracking.  Read it here.  It's awesome.

I'VE REALIZED TO TODAY THAT STORIES ABOUT ANTI MUSLIM ACTIONS HAVE JUMPED THE SHARK FOR ME.  The latest story is about Korans being found in toilets at the University of Texas-Dallas.  It could be true, and if it is, shame on whoever did it.  But frankly, I've been burned before by stories of Muslims being victimized only to find out later they lied.  Here's another one.  A quick search on the webs shows even more.  I'll wait for the rest of the story to come out before I get apoplectic about this one

IF WE INTERCEPTED INTELLIGENCE ABOUT THE UPCOMING CHEMICAL ATTACK IN SYRIA... Shouldn't we have done something to stop it?  Or call Assad out before it happened?  Or something?  CNN has the story that says we intercepted intelligence between the Syrian military and others planning the chemical attack.  I'd like to know the answers or at least see the intelligence, wouldn't you?

PROVING THE INTERNET CAN TEACH YOU EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW YouTube taught an eight year old boy how to drive well enough to drive himself and his four year old sister to McDonald's.

SO WHAT DID "OMAHA" MEAN WHEN PEYTON MANNING SAID IT? He finally came out with it.  And it's sort of anti climactic.  Read the real story here
