Hancock Announces Steps To Reduce Fatal Crashes

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock is taking steps to help prevent fatal traffic accidents. He announced yesterday a move to reduce speed limits along five corridors. The first will be Evans Avenue between Huron Street and Federal Boulevard, which will go from 35 miles-per-hour to 30 miles-per-hour by the end of the month. Hancock says the speed reductions are among a package of improvements. Two bicyclists were killed in recent weeks on Denver streets.
