Snow Rodeo Preps Crews for Winter

In the parking lot outside the Denver Coliseum, Denver snow plow and loader operators put their skills to a test during then 31st annual Snow Rodeo. Operators had to run an obstacle course with barrels representing cars and orange cones playing the role of snow drifts. The winners will now go onto the national competition which will be held in September at the Western Snow and Ice Conference in Loveland.

Denver Public Works says the snow rodeo gives crews a chance to freshen skills a few months prior to the onset of Winter. While there was no snow on one of the hottest days of the year, the course was very tight requiring drivers to be extremely precise as they tested their skills.
