Arrest in Denver Art Museum Rampage

Ten rare Mayan and Chinese artworks were damaged art the Denver Art Museum on Sunday by a  man who went on an unexplained rampage.

18-year-old Jake Seibenlist was detained by museum staff and security and then taken into custody by Denver police.

Witnesses told police the suspect pushed over a glass sculpture and then went after other art objects and paintings. Museum director, Christoph Heinrich, says experts will try to restore the artworks. A portion of a fourth floor galley could be closed for a few days.

There's no word on a motive for the attack. Seibenlist was booked for investigation of felony mischief.
