No Charges In Aurora Officer-Involved Shooting

No charges are being filed in connection with an officer-involved shooting that left an armed Aurora homeowner dead.  The decision was announced yesterday by the 17th Judicial District Attorney following an investigation.  Richard "Gary" Black Junior was killed in late July when officers were responding to a call about an intruder.  Black shot and killed the man who broke into his home and attacked his grandson.  Police say the homeowner was then shot by an officer because he didn't respond to commands to drop his gun.  Black's family says he wasn't wearing his hearing aids at the time.
