A man is being held in Wyoming in a murder case out of Thornton. Jonathan Akin was arrested on Tuesday after police in Powell say he admitted to killing his girlfriend at their Thornton apartment and then driving across state lines with her body in his vehicle. Investigators confirmed there was a crime scene at the Colorado address he had given them. Akin is being held in Wyoming, pending an extradition hearing.
