Watts Pleads Guilty to Killing Wife and Daughters

The  Frederick man who killed his wife and young daughters in August has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.

Christopher Watts  avoids the death penalty by pleading guilty to three counts of first degree murder, one count of unlawful termination of a pregnancy and three counts of tampering with a deceased body.

Watts killed his pregnant wife Shanann and caused the death of their unborn child.  He also murdered his  two daughters, Bella (4) and Celeste (3).  The girls' bodies were found in an oil tank and his wife's body was in a shallow grave in a nearby oil field.
