Christmas Tree Arrives at Castle Rock Outlets

The Outlets at Castle Rock began it's transformation for the holiday shopping season with the arrival of a 55-foot, White Fir Christmas Tree Wednesday morning.  Over the next 10 days, crews will prepare the tree for Saturday's lighting ceremony.

"It has 8,000 lights and about 5,000 bows and ornaments," Marketing Director Jen Simpson said.  "We start decorating today and it will take us about that long to get it ready for next Saturday."

The center will host a kid-friendly Wicked Wednesday Halloween party tonight at 5 p.m.

The 13th annual tree lighting concert will take place Saturday, Nov. 10th.  Rising country music stars Tyler Rich (2018 CMT Listen Up Artist) and 19 year old singer/songwriter Dylan Schneiderwill perform.

The tree was plucked from the Trinity Shasta National Forest in California as it neared the end of its life-span.
