Ballot Returns: Dems lead GOP by 4,700

Ballot returns from Democrats and Republicans are near even with less than a week to go to election day. As of Nov 2nd the  Secretary of State's Office says Republican voters have returned 515,131 ballots and Democratic voters have returned 519,833 ballots.  Unaffiliated voters may hold the key to who wins on November 6th.  They've returned 461,154 ballots.

KOA political analyst, Floyd Ciruli, believes as many as 2.5-million voters will cast ballots in Colorado.

Traditionally, Republican voters have led in early ballot returns in elections conducted by mail. Democrats tend to be late deciders.

It is now too late to mail ballots. Voters can drop off completed ballots at designated drive-up or drop box location.
