Walmart Shooter Sentenced to 3 life Prison terms

The man who admits he killed three people in a Walmart last November has been sentenced to three life prison terms without parole plus 48 years.  48 year old Scott Ostrem walked into the Walmart at 9901 Grant Street on November 1 and opened fire, killing 66 year old Carlos Moreno, 26 year old Victor Vasquez and 52 year old Pamela Marques.  He pleaded guilty last week to three counts of first degree murder after deliberation to avoid the possibility of the death penalty.  Adams County District Judge Mark Warner called Ostrem's actions "an atrocious act" and said Ostrem has "a black and malignant heart intent on spreading fear, misery and death in our community."
