Arapahoe Basin opened to skiers and snow boarders on Friday. The resort has been making snow but got a big assist from Mother Nature with two feet of snow over the last few weeks. Loveland ill open this weekend as the ski season gets an early start in Colorado
At A-Basin, the Black Mountain Express lift started up at 9 a.m. on Friday. A long line of skiers showed up to test the conditions and seemed pleased with the quality of he snow.
Last Saturday and Sunday, Wolf Creek, in Southwestern Colorado got the jump on the ski season, opening a beginner slope for weekend skiers. A-Basin says it's the first ski resort to open for daily operations.
