Second Elk Poached in Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park rangers are investigating after a second bull elk was found poached.Park officials say the elk's head was severed, with the carcass left behind. Both bull elk were killed in the park this month. Park officials want the public's help in identifying the poachers, and are urging anyone with information on these incidents or other incidents related to wildlife poaching in the park to call or text the national park service Investigative Services Bureau at 888-653-0009. People can also call Operation Game Thief at 1-800-332-4155.  Persons providing information that leads to an arrest may receive a reward.
