Snowmass Ads Push Climate Change Activism

Aspen Snowmass is getting political with its new ad campaign called "Give a Flake."

CEO Mike Kaplan says "This is not just an advertising slogan, it's an all out call to action. Collectively, we are a powerful voice, and by using it, we can make a difference."

The Give a Flake campaign will focus on climate change and its human and economic consequences.  Ads in national magazines will target three U.S. Senators who have  express an understanding of climate change but have not taken meaningful action.

Republican Senators  Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins and Rob Portman are considered  possible swing votes on climate change policy. The ads will have a tear-out, pre-paid postcard for people to send to the Senators.  Ads will also urge people to register to vote and participate in the upcoming elections.
