Groundbreaking for the I-25 Gap Project

Ground has been broken for the I-25 Gap Project. It's a 3year, $350 million project to improve an 18 mile section of  I-25 between Castle Rock and Monument. An express toll lane will be added in each direction, shoulders will be widened and four bridges will be replaced. Four wildlife underpasses will also be added and one that already exists at Plum Creek will be expanded. Governor Hickenlooper joined a host of dignitaries for a ceremonial groundbreaking on Thursday morning.
