A 60-year-old man from Urbana, Illinois is missing in Rocky Mountain National Park. Jens "Jay" Yambert started hiking at the Longs Peak Trailhead last Sunday afternoon. Yambert's rental car was found Tuesday night at the trailhead after park staff was notified by his family that he was overdue. Hikers now tell park rangers they saw Yambert on Monday morning, Aug. 27th, along the Keyhold Route. Visitors said the weather at that time was poor, with ice, sleet, rain and strong winds. Rescue teams continue to look for Yambert along the Keyhole Route, the Loft, Chasm Lake and the Roaring Fork area.
While teams were looking for Yambert, they found another hiker who had serious injuries after a fall. 23 year old Emma Long of Houston, Texas was taken by flight for life to St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver.
