Father Advised of Charges in Triple Murder

Christopher Watts stared straight ahead and showed no emotion as charges against him were read in a Weld County Court.  He faces 9 counts for the murder of his wife, Shanann, and their two daughters, 3-year-old Celeste and 4-year-old Bella.  He also faces a charge of unlawfully terminating his wife's pregnancy.

Watts waived the right to a speedy preliminary hearing and will remain jailed without bond. His next court date is November 19th.

During the hearing, watts sat at a desk with his lawyers wearing a jailed issued orange jumpsuit and black framed glasses. He looked straight ahead and quietly answered "Yes, sir" when Judge Marcelo Kopcow when he was asked if he understood the charges against him.

The father of Watt's wife, Frank Rzucek, was in the courtroom. He held his head in his  hands and wept .
