Fair Maps Campaign

The campaign is underway in Colorado for two constitutional amendments to change the way political districts are drawn. They'll appear as Amendments "Y" and "Z" on the November ballot.  The measures would create independent commissions made up of 4 Democrats, 4 Republicans and 4 Unaffiliated voters to redraw district lines. The Fair Maps Campaign wants to eliminate gerrymandering of congressional and legislative districts by politicians.  The amendments will need to get 55 percent of the vote in order to pass.
