Phillips Files Suit Against Governor And Others

Governor Hickenlooper and other state officials are facing a lawsuit from Masterpiece Cake Shop owner Jack Phillips.  The Lakewood baker says the state is now coming down on him for refusing to bake a cake, celebrating a gender transition.  Attorneys for Phillips say the State of Colorado is ignoring the message from the U.S. Supreme Court in connection with the baker's other case.  The high court recently found in Phillips' favor in a case over refusing to decorate a cake for a same-sex wedding.  The suit filed yesterday in federal court names Hickenlooper and the Colorado Civil Rights Commission
