Denver Police are investigating a triple murder as well as a stabbing that took place near the RTD light rail station at I-25 and S. Broadway.
On Thursday morning a homeless man was stabbed in the area and was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. A suspect was arrested in that stabbing.
Later in the day, around 11 a.m., the bodies of two men and one woman were discovered in the area. Police say the cause of their deaths appeared to be suspicious. But they did not say how they were killed. A homicide investigation is underway.
Division Chief Joe Montoya says they don't know if the two crimes are related. All of the victims appeared to be transients.
As a precaution, security in the area is being increased.
