Teenage Girl Arrested in Death of Missing Boy

Denver Police have arrested a 16-year-old girl in the death of 7-year-old Jordan Vong, a boy who was reported missing from his Montbello neighborhood on Monday afternoon.

After an extensive search around the neighborhood, police obtained a warrant to search the family home. They entered the house at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday night and discovered the boy's body about 30 minutes later.

Division Chief of Investigations, Joe Montoya, says the body had been intentionally concealed. Two cursory searches of the home had been done during the time police thought they were working a missing child case.

Montoya says, since the suspect is a juvenile, he cannot say anything about how or if she is related to the victim. . He also could not provide details of where Jordan's body was discovered and what condition it was in. It will be up to the coroner to determine the cause of death and the District Attorney to file charges.
