Auto body shops in Colorado Springs will be busy for months dealing with damage from Monday's hailstorm and the several other storms that preceded it.
At the Hail and Dent Company of Colorado, Frank Erling tells KOA Newsradio that the wait for repairs could extend all the way to next Summer for cars that require a paint job. Other minor repairs can be taken care of sooner.
Erling says many of the cars at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo parking lot were so heavily damaged they will likely be totaled.
Erling says the damage runs from broken class to dings so bad they removed paint. The typical cost for hail repairs runs between $3,000 to $5,000.
