The Republicans candidate for Governor has chosen his running mate. Walker Stapleton has picked State Rep. Lang Sias to fill out the GOP ticket.
Sias, 59, is a former U.S. Navy pilot and represents Arvada in the legislature. He was once a Democrat but left the party when it veered too far left.
Many pundits call Sias a moderate Republican. He rejects that label and says he prefers to be known as bi-partisan.
Sias tells KOA Newsradio he joined the ticket because he knows and respects Walker Stapleton and is concerned about the policies of democratic opponent Jared Polis. He says Polis advocates left wing proposals on energy, healthcare and taxes.
