Denver's New Police Chief Paul Pazen

Mayor Michael Hancock calls his new Police Chief Paul "Smiley" Pazen.   The first thing you notice about Chief Pazen is his infectious and charismatic smile.

 The Police commander who rose from the ranks took the oath of office to become chief at a jammed packed ceremony held at the Denver City and County Building.

Pazen is beloved by many community leaders and enjoys respect among the police rank and file. 

Pazen joined the Denver police Department in 1995 and has worked his way up the ranks.  Since 2012 he has been the Commander of District One

At his swearing in ceremony he told the crowd "Togther we're going to do great things for this city and the people who live in it."
