Firefighters in Colorado say people flying drones over wildfires pose a risk to their operations. One drone video posted online showed the clear shadow of an air tanker. Too close to be safe. U.S. Senator Cory Gardner calling out drone owners who are trying to get fire pictures. Gardner telling a press conference:
" If some moron wants to take a drone out above a fire operation, they need to stop it, they need to quit it. They're putting lives in jeopardy.
Gardner has proposed a law to make it a federal crime to fly an unauthorized drone above a wildfire.
