Denver Gets New Police Chief

Denver has its next chief of police.  Mayor Hancock named Paul Pazen as Chief Robert White's replacement yesterday.  White announced in April that he has decided to retire.  Pazen is a Gulf War veteran who joined the department in the mid-90s and was promoted to Commander in 2012.  Following his introduction yesterday he said it's his turn to give back to the community.  Mayor Hancock says there will be some overlap between White and Pazen during the transition.
