List Of Candidates For Denver Police Chief To Five

Denver is one step closer to having a new police chief.  The list of candidates is now down to five.  That was whittled down from more than 20 applicants to replace current Chief Robert White.  The five candidates will now undergo an interview process.  Following the interviews the committee will recommend an unspecified number of candidates to Mayor Hancock for his consideration. The Police Chief is an appointed position and the Mayor will decide who will lead the police department and serve the City & County of Denver.  White announced in recent weeks that he would retire.

The five candidates are:

-Commander Michael Calo

-Commander Joseph Montoya

-Commander Paul Pazen

-Deputy Chief David Quinones
