The Western Conservative Summit kicks off today at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver. Organizers tell Colorado Politics they haven't seen this much buzz surrounding the event since 2016. That year featured an appearance by then presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Speakers today include U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, as well as EPA chief Scott Pruitt. The summit which runs through tomorrow is the largest gathering of conservatives outside of the DC beltway.
