Uber Driver Booked for Murder

An Uber driver has been booked and held for investigation of first degree murder in Denver for the shooting death of his passenger. Michael Andre Hancock, 29, called 9-1-1 saying he had shot his passenger. It happened early Friday morning on I-25 near University Blvd. The investigation closed the highway for several hours during the morning commute. 

The victim has been identified as 45 year old Hyun Kim.   Police would only say there appeared to be an altercation inside the vehicle. 

Uber issued a statement saying: "We are all deeply troubled by the events in Denver today. Our thoughts are with the families of those involved, and we will continue working closely wityh police."
