Large Wildfire Burning in El Paso County

El Paso County has signed a disaster declaration. The so-called 117 fire began along i-25 in southern El Paso County. It was being whipped by winds gusting from 50-to-60-miles per hour.It had burned at least ten buildings, including homes, and prompted mandatory evacuations of about 300 people. It was spreading fast enough that officials Tuesday night couldn't say how many people had been rescued, injured or both, or whether reports of burned livestock were accurate.
