Gardner says Trump will Protect Pot States

Colorado U.S. Senator Cory Gardner says President Trump has promised his administration will not interfere with states that have legalized recreational pot sales.  He tells KOA Newsradio the president has also agreed to back a Congressional fix that would include banking services for the pot industry.  Gardner says that legislation is being drafted now.

Gardner sees legalization as a states rights issue. When U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions recinded a Justice Department memo that had cleared the way for states legalize marijuana, Gardner moved to block some of the Trump Administration's judicial appointments.

Gardner says Trump is making good on his campaign pledge to respect states rights.
