The Denver City Council is withholding comment after a three-hour closed session where a possible investigation into Mayor Hancock's behavior was discussed. Last night's meeting with the city council attorney was designed to explore whether the group has the power to investigate the mayor and how far that power goes. Hancock has admitted sending inappropriate messages to a former member of his protective detail. The city council president says a statement from the city attorney would probably be issued later today.
