Denver's Newest Brewery Opens Monday

Asheville, NC based Thirsty Monk brewery is scheduled to start tapping beer at it's new Denver location Monday afternoon.  Thirsty Monk purchased the Uptown space formerly occupied by Deep Draft Brewing as part of it's expansion plan to open neighborhood breweries with a community focus.

"We will embrace the beer, food and craft cultures in each of the cities, and operate as a true local brewery and pub," said CEO Barry Bialik.  "Being in Denver and Portland will help us learn from some of the country's best craft beer markets, and to design beers influenced by all of the communities we call home."

The 'food flights' program will feature local snacks provided by restaurant neighbors like Humboldt Farm Fish Wine, Patxi's Pizza, Jacks Uptown Grille and Olive & Finch.

"I just went to some of my favorite restaurants," said Bialik.  "We're supporting them in a way.  We're not coming in as competition where we're taking business away.  We're supporting it, and they're supporting us."
