City Council Not Ready For Hancock Investigation

The Denver City Council is not ready to mount an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment against Mayor Michael Hancock.  The council held a closed-door meeting yesterday with city attorneys and then issued a statement saying an investigation was unnecessary.  The statement also said such a probe would not be conducted without the consent of the female police officer who received the text messages from the mayor.  Hancock has admitted that he sent inappropriate texts to the former member of his security detail
