RTD will offer free bus, commuter rail and light rail rides on New Year's Eve. Coors Light and Coors Distributing sponsors the service. Free RTD rides will run from 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 31, to 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1. Some light rail and bus service will be disrupted in downtown Denver because of the fireworks displays.
RTD has provided this free fare service to discourage drinking and driving for more than 25 years. On New Year's Eve, passengers should check the Sunday/Holiday schedule. The Sunday/Holiday schedule will also be in effect on New Year's Day.
