Today the Douglas County Sheriff's Office tweeted that they took a teen into custody at Chapparal High School, after a loaded gun was located in the minor's backpack.
A school resource officer responded after a security officer noticed a suspicious teenager.
The suspect is not a student at the school and it is unclear why they were at the school.
Deputies tell our news partners CBS4 that the gun was stolen from Pueblo.
