Su'a Cravens, Broncos Safety, Talks Joining Broncos, His Concussion, Keenum

Broncos safety Su’a Cravens joined Crockett & Stout. We talked with Cravens about his ties to Hawaii and what he likes most about Hawaii. We then dived in with Cravens about joining the Broncos and what it has been like since being traded to Denver. We then asked Cravens about what happened with his serious concussion and how it all went down. Cravens talked about his expectations coming into the league and how things changed in his rookie season and how he’s now getting more adjusted to the safety and having to bulk up toward the end of his rookie year to play linebacker. We also discussed with Cravens what he would’ve done if teams would have made him play linebacker going forward.

We then talked with Cravens about what it was like when the Broncos acquired him. Ray also discussed having chatted with Joe Woods about the acquisition of Cravens and Cravens talked about the defense being able to stay in base defense, and playing against the tight ends in the division. We talked with Cravens about who he’s gelling the most with in the safeties room and Cravens talked about how they are all really gelling and getting along so far. We then talked about whether Cravens has ever played on a talented defense such as this one, and Cravens compared it to the defense he played with during his rookie season at USC.

With Cravens having played with Kirk Cousins, we discussed the similarities and differences between Cousins and Keenum. We also asked Cravens about his number and how he got into No. 21. We also chatted with Cravens about Broncos Country and the fans here and his experience with them so far.
